When working with social media start with what you know, learn the language, and connect with those most like you and spread the message. 
 
When people are stressed they have difficulty hearing, individuals assess in the first 9-30 seconds trust.  So people want to first know that you care about them before they care about what you say.

Carlos Velazquiez – Message Map 27/9/3  – Your message should have 3 points which you should be able to express in 9 seconds each utilizing 27 words or less.  Learn about the 7 Cardinal rules for effective risk communication.  Keep in mind “One message doesn’t fit all.”
 
Keep in mind risk perception, culture, language, community, catalyst for change.  “Change is Possible”
